Visual Studio Code/VSCode is an integrated development environment/IDE which we recommend using, but you can use any other IDE of your choice.

4.2 What is an IDE?

An IDE is a kind of software used for software development. For simplification purposes, you could call it a code editor.

4.3 How to install VSCode

Install it from here, open it, and follow the instructions.

4.4 Set up VSCode for Java

Add Java support to VSCode by installing the Java extensions from here.
